1st Bday Planning

When To Begin Planning

It is always best to start thinking about the party 4-6 weeks in advanced.   Of coarse it depends on how big the party is going to be.  Starting this early will give you plenty of time to brain storm things you want for your party.

I know that some people might say…”that is too early “, but everyone knows how time flies and I always say that being prepared prepares you for the unexpected future.  Being frazzled the day of your childs’ first birthday will not only make you crazy but it will make it very challenging to be all happy and care free for your little one.

Having a good attitude while trying to remember if you have every thing you need, and realizing what you forgot can put a damper on your mood and the mood of the party.

Maybe start writing thoughts about what you want for your little one on his or her specal day.  Get an idea of the theme you want, how many guests, and if you want an inside or outside party, at home or a park.

A Party Planning Checklist is a great place to start to get organized and keep all your party planning info organized. I have created a general one that will give you an idea on what to expect.  Again…You don’t have to start this early but getting some of the details in mind will help as the party gets closer.

There are many down sides to waiting last minute…No one likes rushing around  the day before trying to get in order.  Also with little notice some guests will not be able to attend.

Remember paper is your friend, taking notes and making lists are a must.  There is no such thing is too organized when it comes to planning a party.
